The 26th Annual District Conference is almost here, and I simply wanted to take a moment to say thank you!
Thank you for your faithful service to Jesus Christ and to the churches of the Greater Ohio District. Week after week, you invest in people, preach the Gospel, disciple believers, pray with those who are hurting, celebrate victories, and faithfully serve where God has called you. Your labor in the Lord is making an eternal difference.
As we gather this Monday, my prayer is that we will come with hearts prepared and expectant. While we have important business to conduct, I believe God has something much greater in store for us.
My prayer is that this will be a time where we genuinely connect with one another, celebrate what God is doing across our district, encourage those who may be carrying heavy burdens, and pray together with fresh faith. I pray that conversations in the hallways, around the tables, and during worship will strengthen and inspire us as we continue serving Christ together.
Most of all, I pray that we experience the presence of the Holy Spirit in a fresh and powerful way.
May we be reminded once again of the incredible sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross. Everything we do flows from His grace, His love, and His calling upon our lives. Before we are pastors, delegates, or leaders, we are followers of Jesus Christ.
Over these past few weeks, we have reflected together on our district vision:
Know God. Find Freedom. Discover Purpose. Make a Difference.
These are more than words. They represent the kind of disciples Jesus has called us to become and the kind of churches we are praying God will continue to build throughout the Greater Ohio District.
As we look toward the future together, I believe God is calling us to faithfully steward every opportunity He has entrusted to us. Together, let us continue building healthy churches, developing healthy leaders, making disciples, and reaching our communities with the hope of the Gospel.
Please come praying.
Pray for our worship.
Pray for our fellowship.
Pray for wisdom as we make decisions.
Pray for every church represented.
Pray for every pastor and leader.
Pray that the Holy Spirit would guide every conversation and every moment we share together.
May this be far more than an annual meeting. May it be a sacred gathering where our hearts are refreshed, our vision is renewed, our unity is strengthened, and our commitment to Christ and His mission grows even deeper.
I cannot wait to worship with you, celebrate with you, and see what God has in store for the Greater Ohio District.
