Newsday Tuesday!

Greetings Greater Ohio,

Transformed by God: A Life Changed from the Inside Out

We often hear that God wants to transform our lives, but what does that actually look like? Transformation isn’t just about improving ourselves—it’s about God changing us completely, from the inside out, so that we reflect His character and purpose. This isn’t a one-time event but an ongoing journey of becoming more like Christ.

1. A New Heart: Spiritual Renewal

  • Key Verse: Ezekiel 36:26 – “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you…”
  • Truth: When we come to Christ, He doesn’t just clean us up—He makes us new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
  • Application: Have you fully surrendered to Jesus? Are you still holding onto old ways that keep you from living in the freedom of Christ?

2. A New Mindset: Renewing Our Thinking

  • Key Verse: Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
  • Truth: Transformation starts in our thoughts. God wants to reshape our attitudes, priorities, and decisions.
  • Application: What influences your thinking the most—God’s Word or the world’s messages? How can you renew your mind daily?

3. Healing & Restoration: Breaking Free from the Past

  • Key Verse: Joel 2:25 – “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.”
  • Truth: God doesn’t just forgive; He restores. He heals our wounds, redeems our mistakes, and frees us from unhealthy patterns.
  • Application: Where do you need God’s healing in your life? Have you allowed Him to restore what has been broken?

4. Empowered by the Spirit: Living with Purpose

  • Key Verse: Galatians 5:22-23 – The fruit of the Spirit empowers us to live differently.
  • Truth: We don’t change ourselves—God’s Spirit empowers us to live with courage, purpose, and obedience.
  • Application: Are you walking in the Spirit daily or relying on your own strength? What step of faith is God calling you to take?

5. Transformed to Transform: Living on Mission

  • Key Verse: Matthew 28:19-20 – “Go and make disciples…”
  • Truth: Our transformation isn’t just for us. God changes us so we can impact others.
  • Application: How is your life pointing others to Christ? Who in your family, workplace, or community needs to see Jesus through you?

Conclusion: The Ongoing Journey of Transformation

Transformation isn’t a one-time event—it’s a lifelong process of surrender, faith, and obedience. As we walk with God, He changes us to reflect His love, wisdom, and power in a broken world.

Challenge:

  • Which area do you need God to transform in your life right now?
  • What step will you take this week to allow Him to change you from the inside out?
