Greetings Greater Ohio,
I want to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for the work you are doing in shepherding God’s people. Your commitment to the gospel and to your congregation’s spiritual well-being is inspiring and impactful.
As you continue to lead, I want to encourage you in three key areas that are essential to a thriving ministry: health, growth, and discipleship.
Health: Your personal well-being—spiritually, physically, and emotionally—is vital to sustaining the calling God has placed on your life. Jesus often withdrew to pray and find renewal (Luke 5:16), setting an example for us to follow. I encourage you to prioritize time with the Lord, rest when needed, and care for your physical health so that you can continue to serve effectively. Remember that a healthy leader leads a healthy congregation.
- How are you personally prioritizing your spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being in this season of ministry?
- How do you balance the demands of ministry with personal time for rest and renewal?
Growth: Growth in ministry is not just about numbers but about deepening faith, strengthening community, and expanding the reach of the gospel. As you seek to grow your congregation, may you find encouragement in Galatians 6:9—“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” The seeds you are planting today will bear fruit in God’s perfect timing. Stay encouraged and open to new methods and ideas that align with biblical truth.
- What are some of the biggest challenges you currently face in growing and strengthening your congregation?
- In what ways do you encourage the next generation of leaders within your church?
- What areas of your ministry do you feel God is calling you to develop or expand?
Discipleship: At the heart of the Great Commission is the call to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). Your investment in mentoring and equipping believers to grow in their faith is one of the most significant ways you can impact the Kingdom of God. Know that your labor in teaching, guiding, and walking alongside others is not in vain. As Paul reminded Timothy, “What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2). Your dedication to this mission is invaluable.
- How do you encourage and equip others in your church to take on discipleship roles?
- What testimonies of God’s faithfulness in your ministry would you like to share?
- How can we partner together to further the mission of discipleship in our communities?
Please know that you are not alone in this journey. There are many who are praying for you, supporting you, and standing with you as you continue the work of the Lord. May you be strengthened, encouraged, and renewed as you press forward in faith.
If there is any way I can pray for you or support your ministry, please do not hesitate to reach out.
- How can I specifically pray for you, your family, and your ministry?
- Are there any resources or support that would be helpful to you in your pastoral journey?
May God continue to bless and multiply your efforts for His glory.
In His Service,
Pastor Les
